Review: Mr. Majestyk (1974)

Charles Bronson is his own action sub-genre, and this is just another kick-ass Bronson movie!

Director: Richard Fleischer
Stars: Charles Bronson, Al Lettieri, Linda Cristal
Distributor: MGM/Studio S
Runtime: 100 mins

“Get your people back into the truck, and get the hell out of my land!”

Vince Majestyk is an ex-soldier turned melon-farmer. He won’t budge for a local mobster and his henchmen’s demands. The shit turns ugly, and it soon transform into a kill or get killed situation.

You don’t fuck with Bronson! This is a classic hard-hitting Bronson-flick and I like it. He’s got the charisma of a dead toad and the sense of bloodlust as an old Lion. Good cynical 70’s action where men is men. The script is by Elmore Leonard (“3:10 to Yuma” and “Jackie Brown”). Every once in a while you just need that Bronson entertainment to tickle your feelgood-nerve.
