Review: The Tennis Court (1984)

Here’s an evil spirit who needs some anger management and a priest who needs to tell the truth every once in a while.

dvd“THE TENNIS COURT” (episode from Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense)

Runtime: 75 mins

“It’s an old indoor tennis court. I would tear it down if I was you.”

Maggie and Harry Dowl arrive in England to inspect and move into a house left to Maggie by her mother. But the old tennis court seems to have a life of its own. The local vicar might know something from the past, and the story unfolds.

This scared the hell out of me as a kid, when showed on TV. It still give me goosebumps. It’s a well made tv-chiller. It’s a ghost-story with a thrilling twist. A bit dated, but it deserved to be checked out. I guess I’ll have to dive into the Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense series.
