Freddy’s back driving the school-bus. I’m back in the couch driving a beer towards my mouth. Ready for my sequel.

“He’s alright! He’s just having a bad dream.”
Five years has past by. Jesse and his family has just moved in to 1428 Elm Street. Freddy Krueger is back from the boiler room of your dreams trying to use Jesse to do his killing for him.
It’s a hard task to do a follow up to the magnificent first film, and this one lacks both the tension and horror from the first film. This is a more slow-paced an uninteresting affair with a couple of plot-holes. This was the first of the series I saw way back when, and it was great to see it again. It has some cool Freddy-scenes, but didn’t like the cast as much. Some creative scenes, but I miss the focus on the we-have-to-keep-awake dozy teenagers. Good, but not great.
Some interesting extras on the disc. Featurettes about the movie being homo-erotic and critizised for taking Freddy out of his dreams.
