Review: The Mansion of Madness (1972)

Like a crazy acid trip of moviemaking inspired by Bunuel, Fellini, Monty Python and Jodorowsky.

“Mentally deranged people terrify me!”

Gaston is a writer who wants to cover the works of Dr. Maillard. He travels to his hospital just to find out that the inmates has taken over the community and made their sense of a “world order” inside the sanitarium.

This is one hell of a crazy movie filled with awesome scenery and weird ideas. It’s an original, intelligent tale of what might happen if the maddest people is taking over, organizing their own community. A well made b-movie with a fresh and surreal approach. Not bad at all!
