Review: The Bloodstained Shadow (1978)

A mash up of “Don’t look now” and “The house of the laughing windows”. A typical Italian rip-off-Giallo, and I like it ;)

“Your past and your faith is linked with death!”

After Stefano’s brother, the priest, saw a murder of a famous medium through his window one rainy night, the killer is after him. A black clad murderer is roaming the streets of Venice, with the knowledge of something frightening from Stefano’s past in mind.

Cool music from Stelvio Cipriani (as always…), good imagery and lovely backdrops from Venice. But at this time Giallo failed to re-invent itself anymore. Nothing groundbreaking, but a decent run-of-the-mill effort.
