Dr. Paul is summoned to make an autopsy of a girl in a small village in the beginning of the 20th century. The locals are affraid of a curse of a little girl who got killed some years ago. The evil still lurks at the Villa Graps. Will the doctor find a reasonable explanation of this mystery or get haunted to death himself?

Despite the very theatrical performances, Bava manages yet again to make one stylish and scary horror from the 60’s. The scenery is awesome and well planned. The gothic atmosphere and the music underlines a murderous and supernatural plot. This is another Bava-must-see! Love him!
