A family of strictly religious settlers find themselves a new home in the wilderness of New England. But when their baby boy suddenly disappears and their crops fail, they turn against eachother. But there’s something evil lurking in the surrounding woods. And it will strike again and again.

What a superb new horror. It’s got a fresh breath of originality that suits the genre. It’s based on folklore, fairytales and old transcriptions from court cases. The cold atmosphere is accompanied by an eerie¬†soundtrack. It’s got a great cast and has a competent director doing a superb¬†job. I felt uneasy all the way. Highly recommended!
