Review: Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)

Thank God for the braless and short pants style of the 80’s. Enough of that filthy talk, let’s watch the rest of the sequel to Friday the 13th…

“Some folks say Jason didn’t drown, and that he’s still out there.”

Five years has gone. There’s another camp at Crystal Lake, and the new councellors has just arrived, full of hormons and stupid pranks. The rumors says that Jason didn’t die all those years ago, and that he’s seeking revenge for his mother. Well, he’s there and he’s hungry for blood.

A worthy follow up. Almost as good as the last. The Jason legend falls in place and there’s room for yet more sequels. The characters is starting to get less interesting than the first but that’s just another reason to wack them off. Jason’s starting to be the main bad guy in the series, but he’s still not the big movie monster. An hommage to a great murder scene from Bava’s “Bay of Blood”(1970) is worth mentioning. Had a fun time.
