A scientist in the Victorian England conducts some experiments with camera. When taking (or filming) pictures of people who dies he suddenly gets an Asphyx, the spirit of the dead, in the lightning. As these are the one taking the dead peoples soul away, he’s trying to capture it. If the Asphyx can’t get away, the people can live. Dr. Cunningham is on the verge of creating immortality. But of course it will come with a price, and I’m not talking about Vincent Price…

Gothic horror is always a nice treat. It’s a great story with an original idea. Love it! But sadly, the amount of dialogue, wooden performances and spoonfed explanations was very much destructive of the overall experience.
