Review: Human Beasts (1980)

You now the Spanish is fed-up with the catholic church when they introduce a fat, sweaty, gambling, drinking, smoking, farting son-of-a-bitch priest in this flick.

A double crossing mercenary gets shot and is being taken care of by a nice doctor and his household. But there’s something weird going on between the doctor, his allegedly lost wife and his two sexy daughters.

This is a plot that crosses all boundaries and genres. That is pretty common in a Naschy film, but still. Not sure if it works out in this one. It’s pretty slow-paced but it keeps up the curiosity of the viewer. It’s a weird film. Not the best Naschy film I’ve seen. Cool ending though.

A good old dvd. The quality of picture and sound is good. And it has some nice extras. Also included is a newer vampire short-film with Paul Naschy (Jocinta Molina) in the leading role and an introduction by him as well.
