JWD: Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot (1977)

Bigfoot, beer and the 70’s Got too drunk again tonite’…

again-seen this bugger several times, though. Gotta’ say this docudrama styled-flick it’s one of the best bigfoot-movies (‘sasquatchploitation’) of the 70’s. It’s pretty damn good, man and i enjoy gettn’ drunk to it. While we hold on to our beers we follow this group of scientists consisting of many sterio-types-deeper and deeper into the woods of the Pacific Northwest. Among many we get; ; ‘ the lived mountian-man who was born before the turn of the century’, ‘the clumsy cook (who look alot like one of the dads to one of the kids in my daughters kinder garden, but i dont care to tell him, cos’ i’v never talked to him and he would just look at me stupidly, not knowing what the fuck i was talking about)’. Can you gyes hold on, gotta get myself another beer…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….ok thanks. OK; we got an indian who is by all means white, wearing a black long wig-trying hard to convince the audience that he really IS an native American. And we got the cynical sceptic, of course. The best bigfoot-movies was done in the 70’s, well, at least when it comes to the nostalgia and atmosphere. Alot of that has to do with the picturer quality on the screen and how freaking cool all the nature looks with that certain coarse picture quality. The soundtrack too, like in most old bigfoot flix, are really really nice and makes this journy even more enjoyable. And of course; all the wild life stock-footage. Damn nice locations as well of course, filmed in and around the Three Sisters Wilderness in Oregon
