Review: The Killer Reserved Nine Seats (1974)

With that much bad blood and infidelity, it’s a miracle this group of people hasn’t been killed a long time ago.

“We all have hated eachother so much and for so long, the reason behind is now forgotten.”

A group of upper-class couples are gathered at an old theater after an invitation. A mysterious man are greeting them before he disappears. It seems like everybody has some grudges towards eachother. While they try to find out why they are there, they get killed off one by one.

A mediocre Giallo following a group of bored people around a theatre. Some have sex, some get killed. Still they don’t stick together, but keep wandering around. It’s got that Italian 70’s aura, and have some cool scenes. But has to be recommended for completists only. An obvious influence for Michele Soavi’s “Stagefright”.

Another great BLU-RAY release by Camera Obscura (Love them!). Booklet, featurettes and audio commentary. Both for the English and German viewers.
