Review: Lost After Dark (2014)

The best 80’s slasher, that was not made in the 80’s. It’s even better than most of the 80’s slashers!

A group of teenagers skip school-prom to go to a cabin in the woods to do naughty shit. They steal a school bus and run away. Thank the Lord the schoolmaster, a disco-loving Vietnam vet is after them. When the bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere, they take in to a filthy old house. What they don’t now is that the house belongs to a mean motherfucking cannibal. The hunt is on!

A great hommage to the 80’s slasher genre, without being to ironic or conventional. This was a fun one to watch. The order of the killings was definitely not by the book, but that just added to the tension. We got a fair amount of gore, scares and referances to other pictures with an atmosphere of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”. A couple of minor flaws and unnecessary shit, but hell we can take it!
