Review: American Guinea Pig: Bouquet of Guts and Gore (2014)

This is just one big gory application to get into an SFX-school…or a mental institution.

Two girls get abducted by a snuff-film crew with masks to get tortured and decapitated piece by piece.

An obviously hommage to the Japanese “Guinea Pig” series, the Americans tries to out-gore ’em. Using a combination of VHS and 8MM it looks pretty grim. The gore is well made, it’s really just 73 mins of cutting two humans to pieces. The story is pretty non-existent. This is down and dirty strictly torture-porn. The soundtrack is a constant rumbling from the belly of the beast. Well, I don’t know…

The Unearthed DVD comes in a nice triple-pack edition. It’s a double DVD with shitloads of extras. There’s also a CD with the soundtrack. A well done package on such a low-budget piece.
