Review: Ratman (1988)

With the coolest tag-line “Ratman: He’s the critter from the shitter!” I just had to see it…with a couple of beers…of course…

When a genetic mutant is created for noble-price fame, shit starts to hit the fan. A little “ratman” is prowling around for his victims. A writer and a sister of a model that the police thinks has gotten murdered (but it wasn’t her the first two times of autopsy!?) teams up to check what’s happening on a spanish island.

Yes the title was appealing. David warbeck (the Beyond) and Janet Agren (Eaten Alive) was headlining this shit. But I have to say… Where’s the action, horror, or just some motherfucking dedication?? It’s trashy, bad acted, bad written and with a ratfaced little midget as the killer, as scary as a…well…ratfaced cannibalistic little midget. It’s a typical Italian undedicated horror flick. Even the synth-music is bad. Some nice exploitation though (man, that girl likes her showers). Thank God Shameless put this out on DVD!
