A young art-student visits a famous sculpturer and professor to check his work in an old windmill. His carousel of obscure statues of female murderers is a big attraction. When the professors mysterious daughter starts to court the young man, strange things happens. He is dragged into a hallucinatory state while trying to understand what’s happening in the cellar of the old windmill.

LOVED IT! This is a very good horror based on an old dutch story. Absurd, intriguing, original, atmospheric and creepy. Loved the windmill/carousel-settings with the horrific statues, and when the story and the music works out as well this is one hell of an explosive old-timer. Everybody should see this one! Excellent movie!

Fun facts: This movie was one of the first horror-movies showing a breast. A notorious “nip-slip” that was cut from most of the screenings at the time, but has been restored for this Mondo Macabro-release.
