Twelve months after the drowning of Count Dracula, his castle is casting a shadow over the church. Girls are turning up with his distinctive mark on their neck. The locals are frightened, so is the local priest. The bishop is coming to the village armed with a big cross(!). When he has sealed the castle, the good Count wakes up, taking the local priest as his servant. The revengeful Count follow the bishop to his own village, and he’s out for bloooood!

Lee is back in his third Dracula role. His apperance as the Count is still pretty terrifying, but the tension has faded a bit. It’s a pretty entertaining movie with lots of qualities (with the death-scene at the end as the biggest highlight). Still it drags a bit. In the earlier Christopher Lee-as-Dracula-movies, they build up his presence much more (even without him). Missed it. But as I said, still entertaining and well worth watching.
